About Us

For over 20 years, SPEECH, Inc., with its staff of 14 speech language pathologists, has been committed to improving pediatric speech and language skills through individualized treatment plans.

Through comprehensive instructional programs, conducted by state licensed and nationally certified Speech Language Pathologists, SPEECH, Inc. is able to serve children with a broad spectrum of communication disorders.

These programs are not pre-packaged treatment plans. SPEECH, Inc. carefully analyzes each child's communication pattern, putting together a profile of their strengths, weaknesses and learning style. Based on this, SPEECH, Inc. develops a completely personalized treatment program for each child.

At SPEECH, Inc., instructional programs encompass the communication needs particular to each child and specifically address all components of speech and language: expressive language, receptive language, social language, voice, fluency, motor speech, articulation, phonology, augmentative/alternative communication, and swallowing.

Sessions range in length and frequency, with flexible hours and affordable rates.

Kathryn Pengilly, MA, CCC, SLP
Co-Director
Kathryn is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara, where she received a bachelor of arts degree, and Northwestern University, where she received a master of arts degree. She also completed doctoral work at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center.

Kathryn specializes in neurogenic communication disorders, oral motor disorders, motor speech disorders and dysphagia.

Tiphanie Kaufmann, MS, CCC, SLP
Co-Director
Tiphanie is a graduate of the University of California and received her Master of Science degree from Utah State University.

Tiphanie specializes in developmental disorders, augmentative alternative communications, behavior management and communication strategies for academic and community settings.
